The biggest incoherence of human civilization is the contrast between the extensive knowledge of external phenomena and the almost inexistent knowledge of our own internal cognitive phenomena, which allows the previously mentioned external knowledge.

THE STRUCTURE OF THOUGHT AND KNOWLEDGE
Thought has a four level structure that can be perfectly described and represented, to the point that it can be simulated with a computer.
Knowledge is the third level of thought. Knowledge is based on two tree structures: one structure is the exact concepts and the other one is the intrinsic relationships between those concepts.
Knowledge is the result of adequately applying the tree of the intrinsic relationships to the tree of the exact concepts.
Reasoning and logic result from adequate applications and auto applications of knowledge.
THE CONCEPTUAL SYSTEM
The “Conceptual system” is the representation of this structure. Is a powerful methodological tool which allows to structure, define, represent and codify in a unequivocal and exact way any concept and knowledge. These concepts and knowledge can be broken down into simple elements and they can be put together and operated logically.
In the same way that with the “Positional numeric systems” we can easily represent and interpret quantities such as 64 785 213, using the “conceptual system”, we can also easily and intuitively represent any concept and knowledge. This has been tested and easily simulated by computer.
In mathematical language, as we use the “Positional numeric systems” (decimal, binary, etc.) to represent quantitative concepts (the numbers), the “Conceptual system” makes an algebraic extension from the positional numeric systems to all concepts and all knowledge.
All this makes the “Thought process model”, which is framed by the “Global model of the psyche”. The management power of our psyche and the success of the model that represents it, allows this model to be applicable to other initially unexpected domains (see "Proposal" and “Applications”).

Since the discovery of the positional numeric systems, it took 1 000 years to implement them in all social areas.
The generalized use of the positional numeric systems has allowed, in only 200 years, an incredible development of science, technology and, consequently, of society.
¿A DISTANT FUTURE?
¿Will it take another thousand years to implement socially this important discovery about how human knowledge works? Let’s hope not, because we are not in the Middle Ages, but in the Age of telecommunications.
